University of Westminster - Associate Fellowship (AFHEA) - In progress

I give regular artist talks for universities that draw on both my own artistic practice and the collaborative research with the Sustainable Photobook Publishing (SPP) network. Topics include Sustainable Approaches to PhotobooksArtist Publishing, and Developing Ecological Practices, and have been delivered to undergraduate and graduate photography and fine art courses at the following institutions: 

London College of Communication (UK), University of Salford (UK, Massachusetts College of Art and Design (USA), Brigham Young University (USA), Coventry University (UK), Westminster University (UK), Falmouth University (UK).

Workshops

Developing Ecological Photobooks, a two day workshop developing ecological frameworks for the making of photobooks. Facilitated at CONTACT Photobook Lab, Toronto, as part of the What Makes a Photobook Sustainable? exhibition at CONTACT Festival, May 2025.

Future Photobook Practices: The Next Generation and Sustainability, a month long student-led online workshop with students on undergraduate photography courses at Swansea School of Art, Coventry University, Arts University Bournemouth and the University of Westminster to discuss what sustainability means to them and their future practices. Developed with Oscar Dooley, BA Photography student at UoW, May 2024.

re.think | re.use | re.work, a collaborative photobook making workshop from discarded materials and second-hand books. Facilitated at Agitate Gallery, Edinburgh, June 2024. Co-facilitated at Impressions Gallery, Bradford, as part of the “Sustainability & the Photobooks” book fair, Nov 2023, and FORMAT23 festival, to coincide with the exhibition “The Sustainable Photobook”, March 2023.
